Lush Halloween!

On Tuesday I was in Solihull and couldn't resist going into Lush, especially since I knew their Halloween products were available! 🎃 I spoke to a lovely shop assistant, Yas, who spent at least 20-30 minutes going through all the Halloween and Christmas products with me, giving me some demonstrations along the way too!

I'm only going to give a brief first impression of each item, as there are so many fantastic products, and do a proper review of the two items I bought once I get the chance to use them!

🐱 Bewitched Bubble Bar 🐱
Source: Lush

This is my favourite design of the Halloween items this year! This isn't just pleasing on the eye, the blackberry scent is a treat for the nose too! Just when you couldn't think this could get any more Halloween-y you put it in the water and it gives you the mystical combination of grey water with shimmers of sliver throughout it!

🌹 Black Rose Lip Tint 🌹
Source: Lush

When I first saw this lip tint I was a little apprehensive...black lips really don't do me any favours! Then Yas did a swatch on her hand and I loved the dark pink colour that was before me. I absolutely love this, it's so pigmented and the results from so little makes this definitely worth the money as it will last for a long time - my only recommendation would be not to apply with your hands! It also comes in a stick form but I am in love with Lush's naked initiative!

It also comes in a lip scrub which I'd have loved to have tried out but I'd just had a go with the bubblegum lip scrub (amazing!) so didn't give it a go. The smell was the same but with a slightly sweeter air to it, which is to be expected with the addition of caster sugar. I'd expect the same pigment but couldn't give a 100% confirmation of that. One to try next time!

👻 Ectoplasm Jelly Bomb 👻
Picture taken by me

So this is one of the products I bought on Tuesday and I'm honestly so excited to use it! I love the citrus smell - orange & grapefruit is certainly a win for me! The second thing I love is the size of the jelly bomb! I got a demonstration of this in the shop and I love the green colour (totally unexpected!) that this produces and that jelly layer on the top is something I really like about it! Excited to try it out but a little nervous as I know some people have had issues with it dissolving/the jelly layer not working properly - stay tuned for a full review!

💜 Goth Fairy Shimmer Bar 💜
Picture taken by me

I've never tried a shimmer bar before but this is too cute to pass up - and the blackcurrent smell is to die for! It's so silky smooth to the touch as I love the design. A like sweep across your skin leave a beautiful shimmer, totally worth the money and definitely something that will last a while! The only thing I'm worried about is it melting in my hand as it's so delicate - stay tuned for a full review!

🍁 Hedgewitch Soap 🍁
Source: Lush

I saw this soap and was expecting a woody smell but was pleasantly surprised at the smell of berries that hit me. I think it looks well suited to Halloween with it autumnal colours and absolutely love the smell - I wasn't too sure at first but was won over after smelling it a couple of times.

💚 Lord of Misrule Bath Bomb 💚
Source: Lush

I'm definitely on the fence with this one...the smell of vanilla and black pepper was both strange and amazing to me. I was also excited to hear the similarities to Fizzbanger (I miss you!) with the multicoloured and popping candy centre! I think to be 100% on the scent of this one I'd have to try it out.

It also comes in a shower cream and the smell is just the same, I think it's a bit stronger in the shower cream than the bath bomb. It felt very smooth and silky against the skin and I think you wouldn't need to use a lot of it to get that fragrant lather so definitely worth the money!

✨ Magic Wand Soap ✨
Source: Lush

The first thing I want to say about this product is that the online picture doesn't do it justice! The colours in the centre of this soap are mesmerising - a beautiful swirl of oranges and yellows that works so well with the dark outer coating. It's another citrus scent and which I love and the design is wonderful, something I think could last all year round and doesn't need to be saved for Halloween!

👾 Monster's Ball Bath Bomb 👾
Source: Lush

I love the design of this little guy, it's so cute and I really think it appeals to the inner-child (and probably actual children!) I loved the citrus smell and nearly ended up taking him home but I had to draw the line on my spending - Christmas is too close to spend the savings in Lush unfortunately! I love the combination of pink and blue that should result in some gorgeous purple water.

💕 Pink Pumpkin Bubble Bar 💕
Source: Lush Solihull

This screamed more Christmas at me than Halloween and if it wasn't paired with it's sparkly twin (see below) and the name, I probably wouldn't have clocked that it was a pumpkin straight away. I think this has a more floral scent which isn't really to my taste but the colour is definitely me!

🎃 Pumpkin Bath Bomb 🎃
Source: Lush

First thing that strikes me about this bath bomb - it is PERFECT for Halloween! Second thing - it reminds me so much of Jack Skellington! I wasn't a massive fan of the scent as it was very much a cinnamon scent, with a slight undertone of vanilla.

⚫️ Secret Arts Jelly Bomb ⚫️
Source: Lush

I don't think this was available in the shop on Tuesday, but when I asked about it after being told about the Bewitched set that it's included in I was told it's very similar to Bewitched in terms of the affect on the water - grey water with silver shimmer throughout. Like Ectoplasm, it will produce a jelly layer on top of the bath. I think I'd like to try it but am slightly apprehensive as I've seen a few reviews stating that it's stained the skin and the bath!

🎃 Sparkly Pumpkin Bubble Bar 🎃
Source: Lush Solihull

Can you think of anything better to sum up Lush's Halloween range than a gold pumpkin? No? Me neither! With it's citrus scent and gold glitter sparkly pumpkin stole my heart and it's definitely on the list for my next visit! The only thing I'm not looking forward to is cleaning the bath!

That's all for this post, I know there are a lot of products that I've spoken about and that wouldn't have been possible without the help of the lovely Yas (thank you again if you see this!) Keep your eyes peeled for the full reviews of Ectoplasm and Goth Fairy in the not too distant future!

Thanks for reading and Happy Halloween! x

Lush Easter: Hippity Poppity

Hii!

So today I FINALLY got the chance to try out my Easter bath bomb from Lush - hippity poppity 🐰. I really liked this bath bomb. It turned my water a really faint pink but it looked so pretty. (I'm easily amused!) It also really annoys me when bath bombs affect the bubble bath and I'm never sure if it's the bubble bath or the bath bombs that cause this problem but using this one combined with the last of my Philosophy bubble bath didn't disappoint! The bubbles were amazing I could've got lost in them! The woman in the shop told me that the bath bomb had popping candy in and I was a little apprehensive because I don't really want to be sitting in a popping bath but it was actually really nice. You could hear the popping a bit but thankfully there were no bits of popping candy floating around! I really hope that Lush do this bath bomb again next Easter because I loved it! :)

Philosophy Birthday Girl Set

Hey!

So, I got given a Philosophy Birthday Girl Set as a late birthday present off my aunt and uncle

To be honest, I'd never heard of Philosophy before getting the gift set but now I might just re-buy 💛

This is the set it includes a lip shine and a 3-in-1 shower gel/bubble bath/shampoo

I used the 3-in-1 as a bubble bath mostly and occasionally as a shower gel but never as a shampoo so I can't say anything about how it worked as a shampoo.

As a bubble bath I loved it! I love it when a bath is so full of bubbles and they last the entire bath, obviously not all of them but quite a lot of them. The smell in the bathroom was amazing too!  As a shower gel it felt creamy on my skin and left it feeling soft afterwards. It lathers really well and the smell was phenomenal!

The lip shine was a little sticky for my liking but still so nice I guess it just took some getting used to. I loved the smell of it too! I haven't used it that much but from what I've used I really like it!

The packaging as well was so cute! I couldn't bring myself to throw away the box so it now houses my hair bobbles. I loved the fact that the 3-in-1 bottle had a recipe for vanilla birthday cake on ... it was actually really cool!

So yeah, I know it's not the best review but I'm still getting used to writing these.

Thanks guys!

xoxo

The Body Shop Body Butters

Hi!

So for my birthday, my nan got me a packet of 4 body butters from The Body Shop!

I wanted to share my thoughts on them with all of you!

💜 Passion Fruit Body Butter 💜

"From normal to dry skin. An intensive creamy-all over body moisturiser. It absorbs into the skin easily, helping to condition, soften and smooth the skin to prevent dryness, leaving your skin moisturised for up to 24 hours"
£14.00 for 200ml
Although the price is quite high, I love it and it is definitely worth the money!
The scent is amazing! I love how it soaks into my skin and the scent does last for quite some time! It really helped improve my skin and I love using it. I'm glad it's such a big tub because I use it daily (well I alternate between the 4 different flavours I have because it's so hard to choose sometimes!)

**Although all products were bought in store in the UK, I could only find the other 3 online on The Body Shop's US website**

❤️ Early-harvest Raspberry Body Butter ❤️

"This rich and creamy Body Butter is this season’s must-have for silky smooth skin. It contains raspberries picked early to preserve their freshness and Community Fair Trade shea butter."
$20.00 for 200ml
Did you ever have those raspberry yoghurt thingies when you were little? Yeah this is JUST like those! The smell is amazing and I love it but my favourite thing about it is the effect it has on my skin! My dry areas are getting a lot smoother and I love it! It really is an amazing product ... again with the price though - it is quite high for someone of my age without a job!

💛 Limited Edition Papaya Body Shop 💛

"An intensive, creamy all-over body moisturiser. It absorbs into the skin easily, helping to condition, soften and smooth the skin providing up to 24 hours non-stop moisturisation."
$20.00 for 200ml
This body butter isn't as 'heavy' as some of the others but really it is still so amazing in terms of moisturising skin. This isn't my favourite scent but it's still so fruity and it is really nice ... although it's limited edition I hope they consider making it a permanent scent.

🍫 Deluxe Edition Chocomania Body Butter 🍫

"This decadently chocolatey Body Butter gives extra long-lasting hydration. It contains 13 Community Fair Trade ingredients – the most we've ever put into one product. It leaves skin sweetly scented, and feeling softer and smoother. Provides 48-hour hydration Leaves skin feeling softer and smoother Buttery texture Quickly absorbed Indulgent chocolate scent"
$20.00 for 200ml
I'M.IN.LOVE
Seriously, this is AMAZING! It smells so good I could eat it! I'm not sure if it's a permanent scent but if they do continue it I will be sure to buy it again! I love the way it makes my skin feel after using it, it's not greasy at all and helps my dry skin so much!

So here are my opinions, I know it's not too good but I'm trying to get back into the flow of writing again!

Body Shop Mango Range

Hey!!
I recently started using my Body Shop products that I got in a gift set not too long ago and it's reminded me how much I LOVE them!!

🍊 Mango Soap 🍊
Source: The Body Shop

"This mango-scented soap gives a rich lather and leaves skin cleansed and refreshed."
£2.00 for 100g
Right, well I LOVE this soap and unfortunately I just used the last of it! :(
Anyway, it definitely lives up to the rich lather in the description and the smell lasts for ages and I love it and the price is amazing too!

🍊 Mango Body Butter 🍊
Source: The Body Shop

"Our super-rich and creamy Body Butter is a feast for the skin. It melts straight in to leave skin feeling soft and smooth. It contains Community Fair Trade cocoa butter and has an exotic mango scent."
£13.00 for 200ml
I found that it made my skin smoother and the irritation of dry skin that I had before using it went completely. Although it does have the smell and consistency of yoghurt and my cousin wanted to try and eat it I love it and it really helps me tackle my dry skin. Although the quality is good I do think it's a little pricey but then again I'm an unemployed 17 year old!

🍊 Mango Body Scrub 🍊
Source: The Body Shop

"This fruity body scrub contains real mango seed oil. It effectively exfoliates, leaving skin soft and smooth."
£13.00 for 200ml
Following using this my legs are lovely and smooth and the smell is amazing! It's minimised the spots on my legs and made me actually consider showing them off  instead of covering them up with jeans! My only issue is, following washing it off it left my legs feeling a little greasy but that might just be that I hadn't completely washed it off but oh well I still love it. Again a little pricey for me but it's definitely amazing!

So I hope you enjoyed my mini reviews there I just thought I'd give it a go.
